The Melbourne Renegades Academy have completed their Top End T20 Series

The Renegades have completed six matches in nine days, against a combination of international and domestic opponents in the Top End T20 Series.

Will Sutherland captained a Renegades outfit featuring seven players from last year's Big Bash team with Josh Brown, Xavier Crone, Harry Dixon, Fergus O'Neill, Ollie Peake, Callum Stow all making the trip to Darwin.

Game 6, Friday 22 August vs Adelaide Strikers

The Renegades won the bat flip and elected to bat in their sixth game of the Top End T20 Series.

Led by Fergus O'Neill 27 from 28 deliveries, the Renegades finished 9-134 setting a target of 135 to win and keep their finals hopes alive. 

It wasn't meant to be on this occasion for the Renegades Academy side, falling short with the Strikers reaching the target in 15.4 overs.

Game 5, Thursday 21 August vs Hobart Hurricanes - Renegades 5-135 def. Hurricanes 8-134

Renegades won the bat flip and elected to bowl in their fifth game of the Top End T20 Series. 

Callum Stow and Michael Archer spun a web for the Renegades, Stow finishing his 4 overs with figures of 2-21 including 11 dot balls, with Archer recording figures of 1-21 with 11 dot balls from his 4 overs.

Young batting dynamos Harry Dixon and Ollie Peake led from the front in their chase of 135, with Dixon recording 43 (22) and Peake 46 (26) to steer the Renegades to victory in the 15th over. 

Game 4, Wednesday 20 August vs Nepal - Nepal 9-139 def. Renegades 106.

Nepal won the bat flip, electing to bat first in our fourth game of the Top End T20 Series. 

A competitive effort from our bowlers, with Fergus O'Neill the pick of the Renegades finishing his 4 overs with figures of 2-26 helping to restrict Nepal to a total of 9-139 from 20 overs. 

A tricky total to manage, Nepal proved far too strong bowling the Renegades out for 106 - led by Sompal Kami recording figures of 5-17 from his 4 overs.

Game 3, Monday 18 August vs Pakistan Shaheens - Pakistan Shaheens 5-178 def. Renegades 105.

The Melbourne Renegades won the bat flip and elected to bowl against Pakistan Shaheens in the third game of the Top End T20 Series. 

Fergus O'Neill (1-29 from 4 overs) and Will Sutherland (1-30 from 4 overs) were the most economical of the Renegades bowlers, with the Shaheens recording 5-178 from 20 overs. 

Shaheens Abdul Samad recorded an unbeaten 110* from 63 deliveries to lead the way for Pakistan, proving too strong in the end with a 72-run victory over the Renegades.

Game 2, Saturday 16 August vs ACT Comets - Renegades 1-107 (9.5 overs) def. ACT Comets 9-106 (20 overs)

The Melbourne Renegades won the bat flip and elected to bowl against ACT Comets in the second game of the Top End T20 Series.

Xavier Crone and Callum Stow set the tone from the start of the innings, both bowlers key to restricting the Comets to a total of 9-106 from 20 overs. 

Crone finished with figures of 2-18 from his 4 overs including 10 dot balls while young spinner Stow recorded 3-13 from 4 overs with 14 dot balls.

Led by Josh Brown with 46 runs from 19 balls, the Renegades chased down the total of 107 before the 10th over. 

Game 1, Friday 15 August vs Melbourne Stars - Renegades 5-189 def. Stars 6-185

Aiming to get off to a hot start, Josh Brown put up a quick-fire 39 from 26 deliveries, with 7 boundaries. 

Ollie Peake continued the charge finishing with 46 from 39 deliveries, but it was skipper Will Sutherland batting at number 4 who led from the front, top scoring with 63 from 34 deliveries. 

Sutherland continued his form with the ball in hand, finishing with 2-35 from 3 overs, yet it was young gun Callum Stow was the most economical of the Renegades bowlers, finishing his 4 overs with figures of 0-28 with an economy of 7.0 and recording 7 dot balls. 

The Renegades held on in the final over, with the Stars completing their innings at 6-185, 5 runs short of the 190-run target.
